Star Trek Online, the game released on the PC in 2010, is now playable on the Xbox One to celebrate 50 years of Star Trek.

Space, the final frontier, these are the newsflashes of Star Trek Online PS4. It’s a mission to explore strange news, to seek out new games and articles, to boldly report what no one has reported before .

But without fooling. Star Trek Online is made by Crytic and published by Perfect World (which you know from Never winter). The game takes place a few decades after the “Prime” TV series and films. There are two extensions, but the most recent ‘Agents of Yesterday’ is not yet supported (I think later via a patch). You can choose between the factions Federation, Klingons, and Romulans. In addition, you can also create and adapt your own character.

This console version has got graphical improvements here and there and a new user interface (so that it also works nicely on the consoles). I’m not going to play this game, but that’s because of my ultra-backlog. Other Star Trek fans are ready to ask Scottie for a beam upstairs. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, the game is not yet available in the Xbox Store, but if you switch to the US you can download it.
